Bev Jack & the Wairarapa Community Centre

This weeks Guest Speaker Bev Jack gave our members an insight into a sector of our community that most of us give very little thought to, families in crisis and specifically providing meals for these families.

The Wai Kai Project aims to provide free emergency meals for families in crisis on a short term basis. The Wai Kai Project needs three things, Time, Resources & Funds to achieve this goal and Bev asked our members if our Rotary Club could assist this project.

This will take place on 26th June.

There will be dinner at the Masterton Club for members and partners.

Cost of $10 for Rotarians or $40 Double. Please pay Christine at the next meeting.

Working bee

at the

Millennium Reserve

on Sat 30th June at 0900

2 to 3 hrs work planting young trees grown at reserve nursery, need 5 wheel barrows, spades, forks, grubbers etc, plan to work until 12 noon, any time would be helpful. Would like a doz. or more people, will work wet or fine unless its a great storm.
